Day Four: Mission It's Possible
It is the last day of State Leadership Conference and the delegates were sad to leave all of their new friends. The day started with the introduction of a new 4-H initiative called Thrive. Following this activity, delegates attended the closing assembly with speaker Ryan Moran. He left the delegates with several important messages which included always turning negative situations into positive ones. Memories of the good times at the conference were compiled and made into an afterglow created by the Technology Leadership Team. Delegates were already looking forward to next year's State Leadership Conference, which has the theme "Oh the Places You'll Go!". Thanks for following! See you later!

Day Three: Briefing
Today marked the continuation of the workshop trainings. There were a lot of sessions that taught the delegates even more about this ever changing world. After three different workshops, delegates showered up and got ready for the formal dance. The delegates thoroughly enjoyed the DJ and the amazing food and beverages. We are all looking forward to tomorrow's assembly and head back home. See you tomorrow!

Day Two: Agent Training
Today was the first day of workshops and we all sure learned a lot. Workshops ranged from how to create amazing digital presentations to musical theater and from environmental science to citizenship. After lunch, which consisted of baked ziti pasta and make-your-own Mongolian barbecue, more workshops were held. Dinner was fantastic and delegates were getting excited for the surprise that followed.

As delegates entered Freeborn Hall, they discovered part of the surprise was a campus wide scavenger hunt similar to the Amazing Race. The delegates eventually made their way to a field and while the other groups trickled in the delegates already there played a variety of games like volleyball and duck duck goose.

After all the groups arrived, the surprise was revealed. It was a performance from the United State Air Force Band of the Golden West from Travis Air Force Base. Meanwhile, the all-stars were whisked away to attend a murder mystery party.

All stars had the opportunity to ask characters about the situation and try to determine the culprit while enjoying cheesecake, eclairs, and Shirley Temples. After a long day, delegates were happy to head to bed and are looking forward to the workshops and dance tomorrow. See you soon!

Michael Pritchard: Opening Assembly Speaker
Some sample clips from the presentation given by Michael Pritchard during the Opening Assesmbly of the 2010 SLC Event.
Day One: Boot Camp
Today marks our first official day at State Leadership Conference! Delegates started to arrive and trek from the parking lot to the Segundo Housing Complex where they were checked in and received their name tags and meal wristbands.

After enjoying Mongolian barbecue and lots of ice cream, delegates headed over to Freeborn Hall (located next to the Memorial Union) for the opening assembly.

There the 4-Her's were familiarized with the rules and schedule of the conference by the State Ambassadors. The videos Ambassadors put together were quite hilarious. Then keynote speaker Michael Pritchard discussed the importance of using our hearts and the lessons we can learn from children. He shared many interesting stories about his children and various other children he has spoken to all across the United States.

Delegates participated in a plethora of icebreakers which had them act like sea lions, sick sea turtles, and ninjas. Dinner consisted of sweet and sour chicken and a excellent salad bar.

Right after dinner, delegates marched over to the UC Davis public pool where we enjoyed jumping off the diving board, playing board games, watching movies, and making new friends from across the state. I know that we all can't wait for our awesome workshops and our recreation surprise tomorrow! See you soon!!!
